A Hand-Held transceiver that can receive an alert signal from the MURS Alert™ MAT Infrared Sensor and the MURS Alert™ MAPS Vehicle Sensor transmitter(s) as well as two-way communications from other M538HT and M538BS Base Station transceivers.
Operates on 6 rechargeable Nickel Metal Hydride AA batteries (batteries and charger included).

The MURS M538-HT is a Hand-Held Wireless MURS transceiver that will receive alert signals from the MURS Vehicle Detecting Probe and the Infra-Red MURS Driveway Monitor transmitters. It can also can be used for two way voice communications between other MURS transceivers such as other Handheld's or the M538BS Base Station. The MURS M538HT has 5 channels and 38 sub channels to help you communicate with other users without interference. The M538-HT is powered by a 6 rechargeable Ni-Mh AA batteries (included) that will work about 40 hours per charge. The HT is capable of communicating over distances of several miles*. The FCC also allows you to use MURS without a license. Although other radio services require a license, MURS is license free.

When an alert signal is received from a MURS Vehicle Detecting Probe Sensor and/or a MURS Infra-Red Driveway Alarm Transmitters the M538HT will sound off with the voice of the alert signal and will also display an alert icon as a visual display that an alert signal has been received. This has many different applications for small businesses, farms, security guards, hunters etc. Anyone who needs to have real time monitoring and two way voice communications will benefit from MURS.
