The Murs Alert Probe and Base station Vehicle Alert System uses the Murs Alert MAP metal detection probe to notify you that a vehicle has entered a monitored area. The base station transceiver can be located in the house, office or work shop and plugged into any standard wall outlet.
The probe is attached to a transmitter box with 50 feet of direct burial cable and should be buried alongside the driveway with the transmitter box mounted on a tree or post about 4 feet high. The vehicle detector probe will detect the movement of a metal object such as a car coming up the driveway. The transmitter box operates on 6 AA batteries. The transmitter will then send a radio signal up to 4 miles back to the receiver* to activate the voice message alert. The Murs Alert M538BS Base Station transceiver can receive an alert signal from the MURS Alert driveway alarm transmitter as well as two-way communications from other transceivers. The M538BS also has a normally open (N.O.) relay contact that will close while an alert signal is being received. Increase your monitored area by adding more MURS sensors to your system!
